When my cacophonic mind rouses me
in the middle of the night,
it is nice to know my mosaic is there
to help pass the time
until the sun rises.
The light from an antique lamp
that once belonged to my husband’s beloved grandfather
softens the sharp edges
inside me
Lotus Focus
At long last, the final pink petal has been unfurled
As the focal point for the mosaic, the lotus will boast the bulk of this mosaic’s fine detail work. I enjoyed mixing different types of paper, paint, and sequins together.
