depARTment
A flotsam and jetsam of quickie updates, pour vous:
1) We hosted a young artist in residence in our home this week (previously introduced here). Despite the demands of full time studies in Grade 2, this prolific artist created a portrait *and* a mosaic. Very impressive!

2) I recently organized an art show at the University titled ‘depARTment’, showcasing artworks by staff and students of the Department of Secondary Education. Since I am a student with that department, four of my mosaics ended up in the show (my position as, ahem, the show’s organizer notwithstanding). For those of you in the ‘hood, our work will be hanging in EdS 351 until December.

Sadly, while transporting my work to the show, my favorite Damask mosaic’s frame was damaged (shown above on the left). As a result, I have lowered the price to $650, to cover the cost of re-framing *should* anyone be interested in purchasing it.
3) Speaking of Damask, my latest one is coming along nicely:

Have a wonderful weekend, my friends! Tonight I will to be a beer-brewing contest judge. Although a volunteer position, the reward is most certainly in the work (or not, heh) ![]()
